Unconventional Espresso Martinis

Espresso martinis on tap, bottled whisky ones and the version with soy sauce – London bars are serving up this classic drink in some quite unexpected ways…

Black Watch – Mac & Wild

The bottled one

The UK’s first bottled whisky espresso martini. You can either buy it bottled to go, or try it served up at one of Mac & Wild’s bar and restaurants. With the whisky, it’s a smoky, salty and sweet tipple.

Made with Talisker 10 and infused with Edinburgh’s own artisan roast Janszoon coffee beans, coffee liqueur, amaro, cold brew, served in a swanky gold wax-sealed bottle.

Find it: Mac & Wild, 65 Great Titchfield St, Fitzrovia, London W1W 7PS
The Tropical One – Oriole
In true Oriole style, the bar has done a very flamboyant, tropical take on the espresso martini.
With Zacapa (Guatamalian rum), Durian foam (Durian is a Malay-Indonesian spikey fruit) and green coffee dust. So not your average caffeine kick then…

Black To The Future – City Social

The futuristic one

Not one to do things the conventional way, Jason Atherton’s City Social bar has created a fresh and futuristic take on the espresso martini.

Made with Mr Black coffee liqueur, Aylesbury Duck vodka and dash of soy sauce. It’s garnished with a Back To The Future inspired OUTATIME number plate.

Find it: City Social, 25 Old Broad St, London EC2N 1HQ, UK

Exotic Take On A Classic

A Turkish twist on our favourite cocktail, you’ll find it in the middle of Borough Market (come and try it out, whilst giving the market some love).

Made with vodka, Turkish coffee, Kahlua and cardamom syrup.

Fid it: Arabica, Borough Market, 3 Rochester Walk, SE1
